I received no call back and had to take the dog to a emergency clinic. By this point it was to late to do anything for him. I had to have him euthanized, that trip that night cost me $600.00 and one of my best friends. Don't know if the results would have been different if I had received a call, I do know that Theodore would not had to suffer as much and I'd not have spent that 600 for testing at the emergency clinic.
As I was upset and felt betrayed by this situation. For 20 years I considered this vet as a critical component in the care of my "kids". Despite multiple inquiries, It took me over 5 months to get a response from the vet. At first I thought the messages were not being delivered, I suspected the office manager was diverting them. It wasn't until I provided a written complaint that claimed I sent one to the vets home that I got a response. Not knowing where the vet lived, this was simply a tactics to get the message to the vet. I wanted the vet to know they might have a staffing problem.
Loved it for a long time, 20 years actually. Then I had a dog die that had just been in for a checkup as he was sick. He got sicker and sicker over the next 4 days while I repeatedly called for advice from the vet who is the primary owner.
The overall staff and vet techs like Tom and Sarah are great and for 20 years the service was fantastic, but I cannot trust a person who arbitrarily dismisses such concerns without doing a full and impartial investigation. I believe I was lied to and that the vet dropped the ball and is unwilling to accept responsibility for the mistake.
Been taking our animals there for a long time, good care, fair prices, senior discount
The vets here are either all horrible at their job or just lazy, my dog has a skin condition and stress and anxiety issues which started right after he got hit by a car (vet says that has nothing dot do with it). My dog will chew himself bloody, I keep the house absolutely flea clean, I spray the house with mint to keep them away and wash the dog weekly. Sure a flea may jump on the dog when he's outside, but doesn't stay. Every time I go in they instantly blame fleas, they may find 1 flea, or not find any, but they always blame that, they don't bother to do a scraping or any kind of tests, they just blame fleas. I have now seen I think 3 different vets at this place, I am DONE! Going to a new vet tomorrow that is hopefully more competent than these people.
Front office staff and doctors seem very nice. Beware of Heidi, the technician. She is very rude and doesn't explain diagnosis or procedures. She said we couldn't ask the doctor questions, only her. If you try to ask her questions she interrupts and talks over you. While listening to her talk we had to question if she knew what she was talking about and if she treats people this way how does she treat the animals? Unfortunately her behavior made us switch clinics because we could not take the risk of her handling our animals with care .
When I did get a response from the vet, she claimed that she had been on vacation that week, and I should have been willing to talk to another vet. I find this hard to believe as none of the staff when taking messages conveyed this information, nor did they offer to let me talk to another vet, an option I would have gladly accepted. Rather they said she was "in with another client" and would get the message to her, that I should expect a call back. The vet then told me I should seek service elsewhere as I had upset the staff.
I imagine a person can still get normal checkups and such there with little to no problems, but don't trust them if it is a critical issue. The cost was to high.
Nail trims are never the same price, even if you're quoted a price. I have been charged anywhere between 12-35 dollars per dog! I assumed I was going to be charged the usual 12-18 dollar amount, and when it was time to check out, it was 35 dollars for one dog! All I want is consistency. My dogs act the same every time they go in, and their nails are the same length.. so why the different price?
